ART DIRECTION & VISUAL STORYTELLING
“Jack of all trades, master of none.”
That used to sound so discouraging to someone like me, who spent his life moving between different creative fields.
Today, I embody that quote with pride. I was never meant to master just one thing - I was meant to understand the different creative disciplines, and then lead a vision alongside people who have mastered theirs.
My many side quests have taken me through illustration, makeup artistry, modeling, acting, music and visual design. Each one taught me something different: how to build a character, communicate an idea, understand an audience, collaborate with other creatives, and tell a story through image, mood and detail. Together, they shaped the way I think today.
Over time, I realized that however fun it is helping someone achieve their vision, I wanted to create the vision itself - by developing the concept, shaping its visual language, and helping a team bring it to life.
That’s what led me to art direction, and especially to games. Games are where everything I love about visual storytelling converges: character, environment, design, music, narrative and worldbuilding, all working together to create something greater than what any one field could achieve alone. I want to be the person who sees that bigger picture, give a team a strong creative north star -while giving talented people the space to do what they do best.
I’ve come to realize all those side quests were part of the main quest after all.
